Marvel micro heroes featuring ROM

Well I came across something else that was pretty cool today I hadn't seen before. This guy has a website that features all these Marvel & DC characters as these little bobble head doll looking caricatures. That's really nice how among all these main stream Marvel characters that he also did one of ROM. Speaking of bobble heads wouldn't that be also cool if they ever made one of ROM? Heads up to all you out there who also follow my Suicide Squad blog I'll be having a posting up in the near future on there too of this guy's work. To see more micro heroes go to: www.oocities.com/microheroes/Avengers.html If you go to this site and happen to notice that the ROM figure on it looks a bit different from the one in my posting it's not because your eyes are playing tricks on you. As I said before I like this guy's work but I felt like a couple of things on ROM here could have used a bit of fine tuning

  1. I'm not really a fan of the whole mini-heroes thing but that ROM Jnr is pretty cool!

  2. yeah i've always been the same way in which i never really cared much for when they take serious comic book characters and put them in some sort of goofy context both in terms of art and story. but for some reason i kinda dig these. nut at the same time if Marvel or DC tried to make a series of titles of with characters as mini-heroes i wouldn't be in the least bit interested. it's one thing to look at em online but another entirely to have actual stories based on em that you go and drop money on to read. no thanks.

  3. Cartoon Network has the Marvel Super Hero Squad show, which is kind of the same thing, the show based on the little Hasbro plastic figurines (they're barely poseable enough to be called action figures). http://superherosquad.marvel.com/

The show's so bad my 4 year old daughter won't watch it, and she LOVES superheroes.

  4. Batman: Brave & the Bold, the Teen Titans and pretty much every cartoon series Marvel has come out with since the X-Men of the 90's has sucked ass!

  5. Hey now. I like Batman: Brave and the Bold. Aquaman cracks me up. You really have to sit and watch...but the self deprecating humor sneaks up on you, and you have to do a double take...but they're really ripping on him. It's my favorite Aquaman ever. Other than the one off of Robot Chicken, that is.

  6. I agree with David that Batman BATB blows, but Aquaman is a riot. He makes the show worth watching for me.

  7. oh boy looks like i stirred something up here. as you all can see Craig and i see eye to eye on many things aside from this such as hot women who happen to have some tattoos. i've just seen snippets of the show so i can't speak to the whole Aquaman thing. but just those snippets was a enough to turn me off to it.
