His brother, Mike, always instructed me to send Bill's mail directly to him, not to the care facility. I'm curious: how were you told to send mail to him? I hate when there's conflicting information and I want to get it right for my own correspondence to him.Rick Hansenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15404030434015887810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2178894507761299440.post-32072592752404809952012-10-22T03:09:44.167-07:002012-10-22T03:09:44.167-07:00That is a great idea Dave, and I'm sure he'...That is a great idea Dave, and I'm sure he'll be stoked!

I remember getting in touch with one of my all time top icons, Mike Zeck, and found him so amazing and polite to talk to. I've talked with a few now but he is always going to be one of my favourites. Those 80's artists like he and Mantlo, just left a legacy that generated so many of the fans the modern artists have inherited, it's a shame more isn't done to showcase their work in retrospect.IADWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08339648236279349271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2178894507761299440.post-83927000049587146032012-10-21T09:30:35.565-07:002012-10-21T09:30:35.565-07:00just checked out the issue and i'm thinking Fa...just checked out the issue and i'm thinking Far Rockaway must have been either where someone back then working at Marvel lived or came from.Shlomo Ben Hungstienhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07238927958290618109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2178894507761299440.post-13175372413461737972012-10-21T05:47:38.303-07:002012-10-21T05:47:38.303-07:00That's really sweet of you Dave. Seeing that Mantlo lives now in Far Rockaway has made me remember an old issue of Amazing Spiderman (not Mantlo's) located in that spot:

http://marvel.wikia.com/Amazing_Spider-Man_Vol_1_138Brucehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04283148392358807670noreply@blogger.com
