Rom, Captain Marvel America, Iron Man & Sabra team up fan art

About a half dozen new pieces of Rom related fan art have appeared in the past couple of weeks or so. But with the exception of the Sal Buscema commission art I posted last week it's all been pretty mediocre. So, I just did something my self. As far as I know Sabra and Captain America never appeared together in any sort of team up situation.

That's a shame seeing that both characters are iconic symbols of patriotism from their respective countries which happen to be closely allied. Now as you can see here they could be springing into action against most any enemy. First thought would be the Dire Wraiths of course but what about HYDRA? I totally dig the idea of Rom teaming up with Captain America and Sabra to fight a bunch of fucken nazis. Speaking of Hydra and Cap. any of you notice how last week's episode of Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D totally corresponded with the events of Winter Soldier with direct references and all?

Chris, good job on your latest spaceknight customs.

  1. I would like to think they are all teamed up fighting Hydra who has somehow gotten their hands on some wraith sorcery.

I did watch agents of sheild only because of the moive and it did indeed tie in pretty well. I only watched the first three episodes before then I kinda lost interest . That new one was a good one to come back wachingl

    1. I had just about given up on that series during the first season but it made a strong finish with the season finale. this season is much improved, the writing is more consistent and there's better character development and it has a less CWish feel to it. it's not a great show per se but it's worth watching for the time being.

  3. ROM was a comic book based off of a failed Parker Brothers toy-line. The comics series lasted for 75 issues. Other comics based on toys include: Mega Morphs, Spider-Man and Zoids, Action Force, and Shogun Warriors... *cough*

    -Sorry, could not resist.

Anyways- nice art, A.o.S. did that with the Thor Dark World movie too (the whole point of it is that it's in continuity with the cinematic-universe. That's why it largely has to suck.), and more new Spaceknights, Chris? You're gonna break something.

    God bless us, every Jew

    HAIL HYDRA!

    1. You had the big Alien figure??? I am jealous, Sir!!! -Very fucking jealous! I have the Brave Raideen, and Getter Dragun Shogun Warriors, but I never had them as a kid. I remember my cousin used to have Gaiking, though... and I always wanted the Godzilla one.

Oh and the other one my friend still has is the giant Rodan,..remember that one? Awesome toys, awesome memories.

    4. @exhuman Now here's what you need to be jealous about- I only paid $5 each for them!
No! You traded it for ??? Noooooooooooooooo! Hahaha! -How can you not remember!? Bad trade, man... bad trade!
Yeah, yeah- there WAS a Rodan! Holy shit, I remember that...

@Shlomo -I watched that show, I remember that episode... I was excited to see them all, and the things they would feature. But man, that show was THE WORST. -Collection Intervention, it was kind of like Hoarders for nerds but that chick (host) would always pressure them to sell their valuable, or most prized stuff, instead of really helping them manage their collection.
Also- there were a few episodes where the collection was totally not out-of-control and contained to one room of the house- but they had a bitch wife who was forcing them to get rid of sentimental stuff... It was just a fucked up show, always seemed to make me angry for some reason. A lot of the people on it came out after saying how they were tricked/taken advantage of in some way. http://www.bleedingcool.com/forums/marvel-comics/62416-how-master-collectors-became-collection-intervention.html

    2. Yeah- it's not a terrible flick. It should have been a train-wreak with all the problems and re-shoots and rewrites and everything- but it's an okay movie.
I wish it was more like the book- which I love. And Brad Pitt is always just kind of... Brad Pitt in a movie. The CGI sucked. Still, I enjoyed it alright.

Nice- I had not seen that before. Good stuff!

  8. Oh, also- I was just reading Minimum Carnage (purely because the name made me laugh- but it was a really good read! Venom and Scarlet Spider pursue Carnage into The Microverse) and lo and behold Arcturus Rann, Bug, and Marionette show up for a large chunk of it. I know they're the Marvel-owned ones; but I'm sure there were Micronauts references in it that went right over my head, too... I think the bad-guy Marquis Radu was supposed to be Baron Karza without actually BEING him.
