Extra copies of Bill Mantlo A Lifetime in Comics still available

I spoke to the owner of Floating World Comics (Jason) earlier today and he informed me that they had a decent amount of copies of this wonderful magazine still in stock. If you have a Paypal account that would probably be your best bet but I'm sure he'll work out something with you if you have another way you want to pay. The cover price is $7 plus S+H so figure around $10 total. It's well worth every penny of your hard earned income all you 99 percenters who are Bill Mantlo fans.

Now if this is what that Age of  Ultron preview had looked like then Rom fans certainly would have had something to get excited about. But at least this is something cool to look at.

  1. Sadly, the Preview with ROM's name was changed when it actually saw print in Age of Ultron # 2 - wherein the name was changed to IKON.

While still a Spaceknight...not as cool.

    1. yeah i know, i saw that at the Marvel 80's blog. the whole thing is just so lame i just have no interest in anything that's in new comics these days. by the way did you ever get my email with the Man-Thing cover art attachment?

    2. It's like my Dad says, if you want something really good in comics these days, you have to look at someone doing something completely new. He doesn't rule out that there may be occasion for good stories in the original books, but it becomes harder and harder for it to shine through. The great stories shine in the independent books. Because that's where the creativity is allowed to flourish.

    3. I cosign on this. I wish I wasn't so superhero struck.

    4. That's the rub. I still love my superheroes. I have faith some will bounce back, and when they do, I WANT TO KNOW. You know? So I have to keep up. For backstory. And that's where they've got you.
      It's a vicious cycle.

  3. Yeah, thanks. Once I get paid, I'll definitely look into this, since that book looks really, really good.
